MS and I took a mini-adventure out to the city of Encinitas and found this beautiful beach view right down the street from the local coffee shop we found that afternoon, E Street Cafe. A great find, we stopped in for some organic fair trade coffee and a couple of rounds of Scrabble.
The coffee shop is also home to a number of local artists, whose paintings hang on the walls. And it has a great creative and down-to-earth vibe to it. In one corner of the shop, there’s a small stage where local musicians set up for a few numbers on any given night.

We were fortunate to have visited E Street Cafe on a night with Justin Froese from Encinitas, who had some smooth acoustic sounds.

There’s nothing better than a relaxing afternoon with a serendipitous sunset by the beach, a warm cup of delicious coffee, and some music to pass the time.
