If you have any used furniture, childrens clothes or household items that you’d like to donate, please let me know. We’ve been working with the Community Resource Center (CRC) of Encinitas for a while and have been really impressed with what they are all about.

The day after Christmas last year, my family and I toured their facility and saw 1sthand what they do. From providing food to homeless to sheltering women who are victims of domestic abuse it was a heart rendering experience. We saw women and children who were able to escape very bad and very dangerous home situations and find a place they could stay while they began rebuilding their lives.

They have this really cool program where when a Mom and her kids have been at the shelter for a while and are ready to move out CRC helps them with rent, finding a job and furnishing home goods and furniture. What I love about this is that when you donate some clothes or furniture it has a direct effect on a family that needs it.

Much love and admiration to Susie, Emmie and Brian Bergen who have donated three times in the last 3 months and have furnished a couch, clothes, love seat and numerous other household items that have gone directly to families that need them.
