ENCINITAS,Calif. — An armed robbery suspect known as the “Impatient Bandit” made off with $3,700 from an Encinitas bank Saturday, according to the sheriffs department.

County deputies and FBI agents are investigating the 10:17 a.m. robbery at U.S. Bank, 1074 N. El Camino Real, said Lt. Dave Myers.
Authorities are calling him the “Impatient Bandit” because of his behavior at previous robberies.

Investigators would not reveal any information about the other incidents. Sgt. R.M. Castaneda at the Encinitas sheriff’s station referred further questions to the FBI.

No one was injured during the robbery, Myers said. The 6-foot-3 inch- tall man was armed with a handgun, had black hair and was wearing sunglasses, black clothing and a brown baseball cap, Myers said.

He demanded money from a teller, who recognized him from an official flier describing the suspect, Castaneda said.
